This Saturday I got as far as writing a list of cleaning jobs. I even got the hoover out briefly and sucked up the largest of the crumbs on the kitchen floor, mainly to save us all from that 'picked up something between the toes' feeling that you get when walking barefoot across the tiles. I ticked off the tiem 'clean kitchen floor'.
But the list was long. Long long long.
Crumbs gone, I stared at the list a couple of minutes. Made a cup of tea. Sucked the end of my pen and wrote down three jobs I'd already done that morning (wash pots, wipe draining board, put away table mats from the night before) and then ticked them off.
Great. Four items on my cleaning list done. I can take the rest of Saturday off.
